教材 分析
本單元是八年級上冊第五單元，前面已經(jīng)涉及到情態(tài)動詞的用法，在這一單元中，我們將著重對比can和could的用法，尤其是當表示請求時，could比can更委婉，更客氣的用法。
學情 分析
本單元的教學對象是八年級的學生，他們已經(jīng)學習了一學期的英語，能夠聽懂并使用最基本的英語課堂表達；教學內(nèi)容是發(fā)出邀請，貼合學生的實際，學生容易感興趣，也好在實際生活中進行練習，以便掌握。
教學目標
1. 知識目標：can could invite come to
2. 能力目標：在教師創(chuàng)設(shè)的.情景下，在與同伴相互交流的過程中，通過發(fā)出、接受、拒絕邀請，連續(xù)禮貌地使用本課的目標語言。學會將所學的語言運用到真實的交際生活中去。
3. 情感目標：在實際生活中，學生能夠更好地、更禮貌地與人相處。
教學 重點和難點
學會禮貌、自如的發(fā)出邀請、拒絕邀請或接受邀請
教學過程
1、 Step 1: Free talk(從生活中的話題入手，激活課堂，導入新課。)
(1) Talk about every day activities
討論家人每天的活動，每個學生至少說出一個。將這些活動的短語寫在黑板上，如：visit my friends, baby-sit his sister, rent the vides, go to the dentist, have the piano lessons, study for the English test, etc.
(2) Make sentences
用黑板上的短語造句，每個學生至少做一個。
For example: I can’t visit my friends, because I have to study for my test.
Step2: Task

Student A invites hisher partner to do something. Student B declines heher invitation and give reasons.
Task circle: Every student invites at least five classmates to do something.
Post-task
(1) Tell your neighbor who accepts your invitation and who refuse your invitation. Why?
(2) Write a short passage.
Step3: Homework
Design an invitation card. Invite your friends to have a barbecue on weekend. Tell them the time and place.
